The University of Delhi has shared the full schedule for the elections of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) for the year 2024-25. Here’s a simple explanation:

  • Nominations: Students who want to run for a position in the DUSU elections can submit their nominations on September 17.
  • Voting: The voting will happen on September 27. For students in day classes, voting is from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and for evening classes, it’s from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
  • Vote Counting: The counting of the votes will be done on September 28.
  • Nominations Process:
    • After students submit their nominations, the university will review them. By 6:00 PM on September 17, a list of the accepted candidates will be released.
    • If any candidate wants to withdraw their nomination, they must do so by 12:00 noon on September 18.
    • The final list of candidates will be published by 5:00 PM on September 18.
  • Where to Submit Nomination Papers:
    • Candidates need to place their nomination papers in a sealed box located at the office of the Chief Election Officer in the North Campus of Delhi University. This can be done between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
    • Nomination papers can be downloaded from the official Delhi University website (du.ac.in).
  • Important Dates:
    • Last date to submit nomination papers: September 17 (by 3:00 PM)
    • Review of nominations: September 17 (3:15 PM)
    • Final list of candidates: September 18 (by 5:00 PM)
    • Election date: September 27, 2024
    • Vote counting date: September 28, 2024
