The Delhi Education Department told all government schools in Delhi to make sure their buildings are in good shape and teachers are doing well. Schools in Delhi reopened after a two-month summer break.
School principals must check how well teachers are teaching one class each day. They need to send reports to their bosses every week. They can attend classes or talk to students to do this.
Dr. Anita Vats, Deputy Director of Education for Schools, said in a message on June 28, "It's important schools are ready for good learning. Starting well sets up the whole year."
If there are problems, bosses must act right away. A special team will check how well this daily check by principals works.
This move aims to make teaching better in schools.
Principals must also ensure desks are clean, toilets are tidy, halls are neat, and staff are there to help kids get in and out safely.
