Delhi's lieutenant governor, VK Saxena, has asked for big improvements to be made at Seemapuri hospital, which is run by the Indian Red Cross Society and located near Dilshad Garden in East Delhi. He wants the hospital updated within six months because it currently lacks modern equipment and staff.
During a recent visit, Saxena found the hospital in poor condition and asked for a plan to fix it up quickly. He also wants a detailed review to figure out exactly what is needed for doctors, staff, and equipment to meet government standards.
Saxena visited several places managed by the Red Cross Society, including a dilapidated building in Dilshad Garden and the Henry Dunant Public School, which serves students from less fortunate backgrounds. He has promised full support for upgrading these facilities. The school is for students from nursery to Class 8.
Lastly, Saxena has directed that the iconic Red Cross office building, established in 1962, be renovated in two months without changing its look. Funding for these projects will be managed according to Red Cross Society rules.
