In Delhi, there will be four days without alcohol from July to September 2024.
According to an official notice from the Delhi government's Excise Commissioner:
- July and September will each have one dry day.
- August will have two dry days.
In July, the dry day will be on Wednesday, July 17, for Muharram. The next dry day will be on August 15 for Independence Day.
The second dry day in August will be on August 28 for Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna. In September, the dry day will be on September 16 for Milad-un-Nabi.
However, hotels with L-15 and L-15F licences can still serve alcohol on these dry days.
In the previous quarter from April to June, Delhi had dry days on April 11, 17, and 21, May 23, and June 17 (Id-ul-Zuha / Bakrid). There were also 48-hour dry days during the Lok Sabha polls on May 25.
The Delhi government publishes a list of dry days for the National Capital Territory of Delhi every three months.
