Actors Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have officially announced their engagement after months of speculation about their relationship. Naga’s father, the famous actor Nagarjuna, shared the exciting news on social media, along with the couple’s first engagement photos. The ceremony took place at Nagarjuna’s home in Hyderabad, surrounded by close family and friends.

Nagarjuna posted a heartfelt message, saying, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m. We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless!” He also noted the special date, August 8, 2024, referring to it as ‘8.8.8’ and calling it the “beginning of infinite love.”

For their engagement, Naga and Sobhita wore outfits designed by Manish Malhotra. Sobhita’s peach-colored sari was made from Uppada silk and featured traditional designs from Andhra Pradesh. Naga wore a classic three-piece set called Pattu pancha, with elegant ivory and gold details.

Naga Chaitanya, 37, was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They divorced in October 2021 after four years of marriage. Naga and Samantha had been together for seven years before getting married. After their split, Samantha revealed she was dealing with an auto-immune condition called myositis.

Naga and Sobhita began their relationship a few months after his divorce and were first seen together in Hyderabad. They have been seen together often since then, but they kept their relationship private. Now, with their engagement officially announced, they are receiving warm wishes from celebrities and fans.
