In the latest episode of the quiz show 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16', hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, two contestants sat in the hot seat. The first contestant, Satnam Singh, who is a school cab driver from Delhi, won only Rs 10,000. The second contestant, Shreem Sharma, a student of astrology, performed better and won Rs 12.5 lakh.
Shreem had the chance to win Rs 25 lakh, but he didn't know the answer to a question about Rabindranath Tagore, a famous poet who won the Nobel Prize. By the time he reached the 13th question, Shreem had used all his lifelines. The question asked which location was renamed "Tagore Square" for a day during the 100th-anniversary celebrations of Rabindranath Tagore. The options were Red Square in Moscow, Times Square in New York, Trafalgar Square in London, and St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
Shreem didn't know the answer, so he decided to quit the game and took home Rs 12.5 lakh. The correct answer, which Amitabh Bachchan announced later, was Times Square in New York.
During the show, Shreem shared that being on the hot seat was his mother's dream. After learning he was selected for the show on May 3, Shreem fasted for 108 days, eating only fruits. When Amitabh heard this, he brought sweets and offered them to Shreem, ending his fast.a
