Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became parents to a baby girl on Sunday, September 8. They shared this happy news on social media with a post saying, "Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024. Deepika & Ranveer."
After their announcement, many celebrities, like Alia Bhatt, Rubina Dilaik, and Malaika Arora, congratulated them in the comments. Deepika and Ranveer had first shared they were expecting a baby in February, posting a cute Instagram message with baby clothes, shoes, and balloons.
Throughout her pregnancy, Deepika continued her work and appeared at public events. Just before going to the hospital, she visited a temple in Mumbai with Ranveer to seek blessings.
Ranveer had always wanted a baby girl. He even said on his TV show that he often looked at Deepika's baby photos and told her he wanted a baby like her.
Ranveer and Deepika's love story began in 2012, and they got married in November 2018 in Italy. Recently, on a popular talk show, they shared their wedding video for the first time, and Ranveer revealed he proposed to Deepika in 2015 in the Maldives.
