Exploring for songs on YouTube Music just got easier. Now, you can find the songs you want to hear by humming or singing a few words. This new feature, called 'sound search' or 'hum to search,' lets you tap the search bar and click on a button with a waveform symbol. Then, you can hum or play a bit of the song you're looking for.
This feature was available to some Android users in May but was later removed. Now, it's officially launched for both Android and iOS users worldwide as of Monday, July 15.
This feature is especially useful if you remember a song but not its name or lyrics. You can find it by humming the tune you remember.
YouTube Music is also testing another AI feature called 'conversational radio' for select users in the US who have YouTube Premium. This feature lets you create custom radio stations by describing the type of songs you want to hear, like "catchy pop choruses" or "upbeat pop anthems."
Many music streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer, are also using AI to improve their services. They aim to create playlists that match your music preferences, allowing you to personalize your listening experience by choosing specific songs, artists, or genres.
