WhatsApp has recently introduced many new features. One of the most exciting is a new private tagging feature for status updates. This means users can now tag their contacts privately in their status, like others’ status updates, and re-share a status they are mentioned in. The feature is rolling out globally soon.
According to WhatsApp, users who are tagged in a status will be notified privately, but the tag won't be visible on their status. Another new feature is the ability to “like” someone’s status privately, with no visible counter, so only the person whose status you liked will see it.
WhatsApp is also working on more features for the Status section, as well as an AI voice mode. This will offer different voice options, possibly with accents from the UK or the US, for two-way conversations using artificial intelligence. There are even plans to include voices of public figures, though these names haven’t been revealed yet.
