Amazon is creating a new AI chatbot to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, as reported by Business Insider. The project, known internally as ‘Metis,’ aims to function like a web browser. It will use Amazon’s powerful AI model called Olympus.
According to sources and an internal document, Metis will answer questions using text and images, similar to other chatbots. It will also provide links to sources and suggest further questions. Unlike many current bots, Metis will give current information like a search engine.
