The Delhi Urban Arts Commission (DUAC) has given permission for the new office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Jhandewalan, Delhi. This means the office is one step closer to opening.
Initially, on August 1, DUAC did not approve the request because the necessary documents were not complete. However, on August 29, they reviewed the updated documents, including photos and plans, and decided to approve the request.
Before a building can be officially completed, it needs to get approval from various agencies, including DUAC and the fire department.
The new RSS office consists of two towers, each with 12 floors, covering nearly 47,000 square meters. It will have offices, meeting rooms, a library, and other facilities.
The project aims to benefit society by providing educational and cultural services, and it will also create jobs during and after construction. The project was first approved in 2015, with updates in 2018, and is managed by a committee named after the RSS founder.
