  • Olympic Success: At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Arshad became the first Pakistani athlete to qualify for the final round in a track and field event. Although he didn’t win a medal, his performance was historic for Pakistan.
  • Commonwealth Games Record: In the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Arshad set a new national and Commonwealth Games record with a throw of 90.18 meters. He became the first athlete from South Asia to throw over 90 meters.
  • World Athletics Championships: In 2023, Arshad won a silver medal at the World Athletics Championships, becoming the first Pakistani to win a medal in this competition.
  • Paris 2024 Olympics: Arshad Nadeem made history at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He won a gold medal in the men's javelin throw and set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters. This throw was also the longest in the world for the season and the sixth-longest in history. Arshad became the first Pakistani to win an Olympic gold medal in an individual sport and Pakistan’s first Olympic gold medal since 1984.

  • 2024 Paris Diamond League: In July 2024, Arshad finished fourth in the Paris Diamond League with a throw of 84.21 meters on his fifth attempt.
