The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) is worried about the quality of 51 different medicines. These include well-known drugs like paracetamol, pantoprazole, and several antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections.

In a report on June 20, CDSCO, which oversees drug safety in India, said 22 of these medicines were not up to standard. They were made in Himachal Pradesh. Other samples came from places like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Waghodia, Vadodara, Andhra Pradesh, and Indore.

The agency that controls medicines sent warnings to companies making these medicines, according to PTI news. Medicines that didn't pass quality tests will be taken off the market.

This year, 51 drugs didn't pass the quality test, which is much less than last year's 120. These drugs were made in Himachal Pradesh and also didn't pass the quality test.
