Kim Kardashian, an American socialite and businesswoman, attended the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai with her sister Khloe Kardashian. Kim revealed that the grand event will be part of their reality TV show, "The Kardashians."
Kim, 43, and Khloe, 40, joined many international celebrities at the wedding, which took place on Friday night at Jio World Drive, a convention center owned by the Ambani family. Khloe had earlier posted a video on social media showing a film crew following them, leading fans to guess that they were filming for "The Kardashians."
In a recent Instagram Story, Kim shared a screenshot of a video showing her and Khloe getting ready for the wedding. She confirmed that they were indeed filming for their show. Kim wrote, "Had to screen grab our video because we're so happy to be traveling the world together! And yes, we were filming 'The Kardashians' too, so you guys can see Kim and Khloe in India."
"The Kardashians," available in India on Disney Hotstar, focuses on the personal lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family. The show continues from their previous series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," which ended in 2021 after 20 seasons on the US network E!.
The sisters wore custom designs by Manish Malhotra, styled by Dani Levi. Kim was in a glittering red saree, while Khloe wore an ivory-gold saree with heavy decorations. Malhotra posted a video of Kim in her saree, captioning it, "@kimkardashian Looking stunning in a custom stylized saree @manishmalhotraworld #styling @superrrdani #mymmsaree."
Videos on social media showed Nita Ambani, the groom's mother, welcoming Kim and Khloe to the wedding hall. This was their first visit to India. The sisters arrived in Mumbai early Friday morning with their staff and security, receiving a red carpet welcome at the Taj Mahal Hotel. They also took an auto rickshaw ride through the city before the wedding.
